Hi. I'm Timm and I make films

I’ve worked in the creative industries for 30 years as a sound engineer, tour manager, festival organiser, photographer and film maker. I came late to film making but throughout my career I have dipped into film and TV on many occasions.

My interest in directing came from the combination of my skills and a desire to tell stories. Stories are what make us human, we pass these adventures to each other everyday. My inspirations come from conversations and fleeting observations of life which is often much more interesting than any fiction.

I’ve been a sound engineer for over 30 years it all started in the early 90’s with an old four track tape recorder. I’ve spent my life mixing and recording bands and artists and now I’m translating this experience into film sound.

A film to inspire discussion in climate change and it's affects on us as a population

Pie Village follows the travels of a tourist hiking through Yorkshire. When their phone runs out of battery, a visit to the nearest pub changes everything.

Nominated for a Royal Television Society – Student Award and winner of a Screen Yorkshire student competition. I also won a craft award for screen writing at the Royal Television Society – Student Awards

It’s such an honour for my film to be recognised from all the student film makers in the Yorkshire region. I’m proud that the panel of judges thought the film worthy of the shortlist and prize.
